Working Tonic
This blend was designed to support the horse under a heavier workload. It may also check to be fed along with an additional blend like Joint Plus to support as a preventative to the structural system they are overusing. For example, rope horses, barrel horses and jumping horses are being asked to do a job that is way more taxing on their joints than a horse would naturally do themselves and the stress is repetitive.
Horses put on rest to heal will benefit from this blend. When a body is healing it is actually under a heavy workload trying to repair itself.
Horses that have been undernourished may also benefit from this blend as their bodies are working extra hard to regain their strength (also see Neo & Growth Tonic).
Weaknesses Possibly Supported with this Blend:
horses with heavy workloads
horses that are older
horses that are overly stressed
horses recovering from an injury
horses that have been malnourished

Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that promotes bone formation, and magnesium aids in calcium regulation in the body. Also known for supporting detoxification and liver function. With its ability to stimulate the kidneys and promote the excretion of excess fluids, it works like a natural diuretic that can help support urine output and reduce water retention. Contains antioxidants and choline, two compounds that support brain function, antioxidants protect cells from damage and reduce oxidative stress in the brain, which improves cognitive function. Choline aids in the synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that supports memory and cognitive function and may improve mood also.
Dulse Leaf - Rich in macro and micronutrients, including Iodine, protein, fiber, B vitamins, potassium and antioxidants. Iodine is a vital nutrient that’s responsible for regulating thyroid function and healthy metabolism. Iodine is also needed for healthy growth, brain function and detoxification. An animal study published in Food Research International found that anti-inflammatory components, including phycobiliproteins and chlorophyll, can be extracted from Dulse and used to reduce acute inflammation and swelling. Also supports metabolic health.
